Walk among the treetops and discover the Monteverde cloud forest from a privileged vantage point. The Selvatura Park Hanging Bridges combine trails and suspended structures that let you explore different levels of the forest, from ground-level vegetation to open views above the canopy.

The route stretches for approximately 3 kilometers of trails and includes 8 hanging bridges, ranging in length from 55 to 157 meters. As you make your way along the route, the elevation and scenery change, creating opportunities to pause, observe the vegetation, listen to the sounds of the forest, and appreciate the extraordinary biodiversity that characterizes Monteverde.

Unlike the canopy tour, there’s no rush here. The experience invites you to walk, observe, and enjoy the cloud forest at your own pace. Ferns, mosses, bromeliads, and trees covered in epiphytes are part of the scenery, while birds and other wildlife may appear along the way. As with any nature experience, sightings depend on the moment and can never be guaranteed.

The hanging bridges offer one of the most special ways to understand the scale of the cloud forest: walking above it, crossing through it, and taking it in from different heights. An ideal experience for nature lovers, couples, families, photographers, and travelers who want to discover the magic of Monteverde in a peaceful, immersive way.

 

 

 

Policies and Restrictions

To protect both visitors and the cloud forest ecosystem, the following guidelines must be followed during the tour:

• Stay on marked trails at all times.
• Do not jump on or swing the bridges.
• Do not climb or scale the structures.
• Do not feed wild animals.
• Avoid shouting and unnecessary noise that could disturb wildlife.
• Do not eat food on the trails.
• Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
• Minors must remain under adult supervision.

Trail conditions may vary due to the rain and humidity typical of the cloud forest.

Selvatura Park may modify or cancel the activity in the event of thunderstorms, adverse weather conditions, or other circumstances that could pose a risk to visitors or staff.

Cancellations

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance: 100% refund.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours and up to 24 hours in advance: 50% refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance: non-refundable.
• No-show: 100% penalty.

Force majeure cases will be assessed.
