Discover the Monteverde cloud forest from different perspectives on a day that combines adventure, nature, and wildlife. The full-day package at Selvatura Park brings together some of Monteverde’s most iconic experiences, taking you from the adrenaline rush of flying among the treetops to the serenity of walking above the forest and getting up close to some of Costa Rica’s most fascinating species.

The adventure begins with the Canopy Tour, a series of zip lines that cross the cloud forest canopy and offer a bird’s-eye view of the landscape. Then, the Monteverde Hanging Bridges offer a completely different experience: approximately 3 kilometers of trails and eight suspended bridges let you walk among different levels of the forest, surrounded by vegetation and with opportunities to appreciate the extraordinary biodiversity of this ecosystem.

The experience continues with a visit to the Sloth Habitat, where a guided tour lets you observe and learn about these iconic animals; the Butterfly Garden, dedicated to Costa Rican species; and the Reptile and Amphibian Exhibit, which introduces visitors to another fascinating group of tropical ecosystem inhabitants.

More than simply bringing several activities together in one day, this experience lets you discover Monteverde from the air, among the treetops, and through its wildlife. Policies and Restrictions

To enjoy the experience safely, it is important to consider the following conditions:

Reservations: Reservations are required at least 48 hours in advance, with a minimum of 2 participants.

Minimum age for ziplining: 4 years. Minors must participate under adult supervision.

Maximum weight for ziplining: 125 kg / 275 lb, also subject to the maximum dimensions allowed by the harness.

Health restrictions for ziplining: This activity is not permitted for people who are pregnant, have heart problems, osteoporosis, or back problems, or have undergone surgery within the past six months.

Some optional zipline experiences, such as Superman and Tarzan Swing, have additional weight, height, and safety requirements.

Hanging bridges: For safety reasons, jumping or swinging on the bridges, climbing on structures, feeding animals, shouting, eating on trails, or leaving marked paths is not permitted.

Habitats and Exhibits: Touching or feeding the animals or leaving designated areas is not permitted. Visits must be conducted according to the guide’s instructions.

Weather conditions: Selvatura Park may modify or cancel activities when weather conditions, thunderstorms, or other circumstances pose a risk to visitors or staff.

Cancellations

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance: 100% refund.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours and up to 24 hours in advance: 50% refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance: non-refundable.
• No-show: 100% penalty.

Force majeure cases will be evaluated.

The experience includes

Canopy Tour
Experience the thrill of traveling through the cloud forest canopy on a zipline circuit. A different way to take in the Monteverde scenery as the adventure unfolds among the treetops.

Hanging Bridges – Treetop Walkways
A self-guided walk of approximately 3 kilometers that includes eight hanging bridges. The trail lets you explore different levels of the cloud forest and appreciate its vegetation from a privileged vantage point. Guide not included.

Sloth Habitat
A guided tour to observe sloths and learn more about their behavior, characteristics, and conservation. The animals that live in this space have found refuge after facing situations such as habitat loss and other threats.

Butterfly Garden
A guided experience to discover the diversity, colors, and life cycles of different butterfly species from Costa Rica in an environment specially designed for observing them.

Reptile and Amphibian Exhibit
A guided tour that introduces visitors to different reptile and amphibian species and reveals the importance of these animals in tropical ecosystems.

What to Bring

Monteverde is known for its cool, humid, and changeable weather, so we recommend coming prepared to comfortably enjoy activities throughout the day.

• Comfortable clothing, preferably athletic wear.
• Long pants or leggings, especially recommended for added comfort during the canopy tour.
• Comfortable, closed-toe shoes; these are required for the canopy tour.
• A waterproof jacket or poncho, especially during the rainy season.
• Insect repellent.
• Sunscreen.
• A camera or phone with enough battery life.
• Binoculars, especially if you enjoy observing nature.
• A change of clothes may be useful during the rainy season.

For the canopy tour, long hair must be tied back, and hats, caps, and large hoop earrings are not allowed.
