Overview

Arenal Hanging Bridges and Paradise Hot Springs

Discover the Arenal rainforest from different heights and complete the experience with a moment of relaxation in the hot springs at Paradise Hot Springs.

The first part of the tour takes you along trails and across the Arenal hanging bridges, on a route of approximately 3.2 kilometers through the rainforest. The circuit features 16 bridges, 10 regular and 6 hanging, allowing you to constantly change your perspective as you move from the forest floor to elevated sections among the vegetation.

Accompanied by a naturalist guide, you can discover details of this ecosystem that would otherwise easily go unnoticed. The region is home to a remarkable diversity of birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians, and you may encounter some of these species in the wild along the way. Wildlife sightings depend entirely on nature and cannot be guaranteed.

When weather conditions permit, different points along the route may also offer views of Arenal Volcano, adding one of La Fortuna’s most iconic landscapes to the hike.

After exploring the forest, the experience changes pace with a visit to Paradise Hot Springs.

Here, you can leave the trails behind and enjoy the thermal pools, surrounded by gardens and tropical vegetation. It’s the perfect complement after a morning or afternoon hike: relax, enjoy the warm water, and continue taking in Arenal’s natural surroundings from a much more relaxed perspective.

An experience that combines two moments in one day: first, discover the forest from its trails and bridges; then, enjoy the hot springs of La Fortuna.
